Online Earn Money

Okay, I’ve found a little system I can follow to get me started with blogging for money. The system wasn’t entirely free like I promised myself but it was under twenty bucks to start out. I got some great info so I think that wasn’t too much to put at risk. So first things first, choosing a niche; here’s how I did that.

If you’ve ever tried to write about something you don’t enjoy before you’ll probably remember how hard it was. Or even if you’ve had to talk to someone about something you weren’t interested or didn’t know anything about. Well that is how difficult I think blogging for money would be if I chose a subject I didn’t like or knew little about. I could see myself spending heaps of time researching and being unhappy which is not okay! So I started with thinking about some things I like to talk about, think about and could therefore write about.

I then went into the free Google keyword tool tracker to see if anyone on the planet had an interest in the same things as me. Yes is the short answer. The number of searches for a particular subject, or niche, was very important, I didn’t want to blog about something not many people have an interest in….how would my blogging for money endeavour succeed without any interested readers?

So I found a term related to my niche that had 5400 searches a month. Then I checked out how many other sites had that term in their name. It was easy to do that, I just placed talking marks at either end of the niche phrase and then in the google search results on the top right hand of the screen there was a number. So what I had discovered was that my niche phrase had around 5400 searches a month and only 662 sites with that exact term on their pages. I had met two of the first criteria to start my blogging for money career. I did do a little dance I’ll admit.:)

Next cab off the rank was to check if the niche term/phrase was available as a domain name, and I had to get the exact term, no ifs buts or maybes! So I can’t tell you how excited I was when the .com domain was available! I snapped it up quick smart!

So I have a niche that I love and know I can write about until the cows come home, enough interested people and not too much competition and a .com domain name. My blogging for money test case is officially underway. I’ll post step 2 over the coming days.
